related awards There were 29 Ely Runners starters and 28 finishers taking part in the club's annual race over a straight measured mile on Quaney Drove. Good conditions including a light tail wind enabled many members to achieve PB times and 4 club records were broken/achieved. Natalle Coles achieved a remarkable hat trick by wining the lady's handicap, fastest time, and age related awards. It was also the 3rd year in succession that Natalle won the fastest lady award. Personal bests (including several first straight mile runs) for a straight mile were achieved by Adam Etches, Alan Rutterford, Breeda O'Leary, Chris Bower, Emily Knight, Fraser Badcock, Glyn Loveday, Graham Chapman, Ian Day, Margaret Bracewell, Melanie Fisher, Jonathon Sykes, Kevin Jennings, Paul Needham, Peter Harris, Rebecca Mosley, Stephen Howard, Stephen Pettit, Steve Barker, Tony Robinson, and William Wilson. There were 30 Ely Runners competing in the club's annual 1 mile handicap race on the dead straight Quaney Drove in three starts. Time and place keepers and finish marshals were Ian Vaughan-Arbuckle, Richard Handoll, Eric Drury and Sarah Sharpe. Start marshals were Alan Rutterford and Tony Hall. John Turner was the handicapper.
